Happy New Year!
We WELCOME 2012

"Be strong and take heart,
all you who hope in the LORD."  Psalm 31:24

Prayer Changes Things!!!!

In James 5:13-16 it reads:

"Is any one of you in trouble?
He should pray.

Is anyone happy?
Let him sing songs of praise.

Is any one of you sick?

He should call the elders of the church to pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord.

And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise him up. If he has sinned, he will be forgiven.

Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective."

Never Underestimate the Power of Prayer

"Crossing Raging Waters"
It seems no matter how enlightened we are, how in tune we are, or how righteous we think we are, there will be times when we find ourselves knee deep in troubled water. When the raging waters draw near we frantically search for something to hold on to. We look for a lifeline.

"Rewrite Your Script"
This is a time when we must take stock of what we can change and what we can't change. What we can change -- in EVERY circumstance is our attitude. If you want to stay stuck in despair for a few more weeks, months, or years--then go ahead and you probably should stop reading now. However, if you want some ideas on how to get past the 'funk' read on:

Maybe you've seen or heard this before. It is ALWAYS worth repeating and remembering:

The Fellowship Committed to Doing Whatever it Takes

Upon the death of a missionary who had spend 20 years in Africa digging out a work for God, tacked on the wall of his mud hut was this note:

I’m a part of the fellowship committed to doing whatever it takes.

I have Holy Spirit power.  The die has already been cast.  I’ve stepped over the line.

I’m out of the comfort zone.  The decision has been made.  I’m a disciple of Jesus Christ.  I won’t look back, let up, slow down, or back away.  My past is Redeemed, my present makes sense and my future is Secure.

I’m finished and done with low living, and sight walking, small planing, smooth knees, colorless dreams, tame visions, mundane talking, chinchy giving and dwarf goals.

I’m a part of the fellowship committed to doing whatever it takes.

I no longer need pre-eminence.
I no longer need position.
I no longer need promotions.
I no longer need popularity.
I don’t have to be Right!
I don’t have to be First!
I don’t have to be Tops!
I don’t have to be Recognized, Praised, Regarded, or Rewarded.

I’m a part of the fellowship committed to doing whatever it takes.

I now live by presence.  I lead by faith.  I love by patience. I lift by prayer.  I labor by power.  I’m a part of the fellowship committed to doing whatever it takes.  My face is set.  My gait is fast.  My goal is heaven.  My road is narrow.  My way is rough.  My companions are few, but my guide is reliable.  My mission is clear.  I cannot be bought, compromised, detoured, or lured away.

I cannot be turned back or diluted, I will not be delayed.  I will not flinch in the face of sacrifice, or hesitate in the face of the adversary, or negotiate at the table of my enemies.  I will not ponder at the pool of popularity or meander in the maze called mediocrity.  I won’t give up, shut up, let up, or burn up until I’ve preached up, prayed up, paid up, stored up, and stayed up for the cause of the Jesus Christ.  I’m a part of the fellowship committed to doing whatever it takes.

I’m a disciple of Jesus Christ.  I must go until He comes.  I must give until I drop.  I must preach until all know.  I must work until God stops and when He comes to get His own, He will have no problem recognizing me, because I’ve dedicated my life to being a part of the fellowship committed to doing whatever it takes.

Message from Linnie:  "Stopping the Party"
Dance Anyway!

Are you tired of your pity party yet?

I know so many are facing REAL challenges these days -- including health, financial, career, and relationship problems...but HOW LONG can you carry around worry, anxiety, dread, and sorrow?

Take time daily to release ALL concerns to the Lord and relax (even for just a minute) knowing HE will indeed take care of you.

Overwhelmed with your problems?  Dance Anyway!

"But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint."
Isaiah 40:31
