More Scripture, Wisdom, & the Daily Bible Story;
Prayer Changes Things!!!!
In James 5:13-16 it reads:

"Is any one of you in trouble?
He should pray.

Is anyone happy?
Let him sing songs of praise.

Is any one of you sick?

He should call the elders of the church to pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord.

And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise him up. If he has sinned, he will be forgiven.

Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective."

How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news, who proclaim peace, who bring good tidings, who proclaim salvation, who say to Zion: "Your God reigns!"

Isaiah 52:7 (NIV)

Normally, I ignore email chain letters, but this one resonates. With so much devastation and sorrow in the world, we are reminded of the need to pray for each other. I don/t know who wrote this, but it expresses my sentiment. May you find comfort with this prayer and ALWAYS hold on to God.

Dear God:

Thank You for each and every day you have blessed us here on earth.
Thank You for Your tender mercies.
Thank You for giving us friends and family to share joys and sorrows with.

I ask You to bless my friends, relatives, and those I care deeply for who are reading this right now.

Where there is joy, give them continued joy. Where there is pain or sorrow, give them your peace and mercy. Where there is self-doubt, release a renewed confidence. Where there is need, fulfill their needs. Bless their homes, families, finances, their goings and their comings.

In your grace and strength, Amen.

Let's always pray for one another.
